I feel like this sounds far too grown-up for a baby but I do really like it. What do others think?

Lovely!

Shallishanti · 12/06/2011 16:38

it's a lovely name and she won't be a baby for long.
she can aspire to be like Rosa Parks!

SloganLogan · 12/06/2011 16:38

Very pretty.

JiltedJohnsJulie · 12/06/2011 16:40

Have to disagree, don't think it sounds too grown-up for a baby in fact I think it sounds great for a baby or a grown-up. I'm not a big fan of cutesy baby names though, always think that you should choose a more adult sounding name as they will spend the large proportion of their life living as an adult.

ExitPursuedByAKitten · 12/06/2011 16:41

I think it's lovely.

howzaboutthat · 12/06/2011 16:42

I absolutely love this.

Didn't go for it purely because I am a little bit Jonathan Ross in the way I pronounce my R's.

ragged · 12/06/2011 16:59

I strongly don't like it.
I know a lovely 13yo with the name but I still cringe at it. I keep thinking "Pink"? They named their daughter "pink"? Confused Yes I know it means "Rose", too, but I prefer "Rose". Rosemary even better.

midnightexpress · 12/06/2011 17:01

I prefer it to Rose. In fact, I love it. I know one very feisty and lovely little Rosa.

I like Roza.
i know a Rosetta (rosa) ,and a Czech Rozalie (Roza)
lovely girls,lovely names Smile

FriggFRIGG · 12/06/2011 17:32

i think Roza is known as Rozalka in Czech though...

A1980 · 12/06/2011 23:22

I don't think it does sound too old for a baby. People are giving their babies names such as Mabel and Ethel these days so I don't think Rosa's too old.

It's a very pretty name. A baby won't always be a baby and Rosa is great on a teenager and adult. The reverse however isn't always true and the cutesy flowery names such as Daisy or Poppy may not work on an adult whereas they work for young children.

Hedwig3 · 13/06/2011 09:30

Fabulous name.

She won't be a baby for long.

BulletWithAName · 13/06/2011 09:32

I hate it. I just think of an middle aged Spanish cleaning lady when I hear it. Much prefer Rose, Rosie or Roseanne.

franke · 13/06/2011 09:33

I like it.

MollysChamber · 13/06/2011 09:34

I really like it.

Which is unusual for these threads.

Not too grown up at all.

Jojay · 13/06/2011 09:38

I love it, and I know a 2 yo Rosa who it suits perfectly.

Go for it.

PurpleStrawberry · 13/06/2011 10:01

I absolutely love it.

Remember, you're not just naming a baby, you're naming a person for life.

lindy100 · 13/06/2011 12:44

I love it.

telsa · 13/06/2011 12:48

gorgeous - elegant and also suits a little one, I think.

oohlaalaa · 13/06/2011 12:51

Lovely

Rosa · 13/06/2011 13:01
