Somebody was very rude about my baby's name yesterday.

He is seven months now. When I told her his name she said "oh. you don't mind him being bullied when he's older then" Shock.

His name is Alessandro.

I think the correct response to that would have been "Oh. You dont mind being incredibly rude then?!". No one expects everyone to like a name choice but it is not necessary to voice these thoughts.

Also Patricia what a bizarre angle. How on earth will you know whether your DC are going to like the name you have chosen for them? The only gauge has to be that you like the name, what's the alternative?

Alessandro is a great name.

Very rude indeed. Thankfully we all have different tastes, but there is no need to criticise other peoples' choices (be they names, hairstyles, clothes whatever...). And imo kids accept most names as just that, names of their mates, whatever those names may be.
