A sister for Clement

Hello all, DH and I are completely stumped for girl's names; the only name we've come up with so far that we both like is Lilith, but we need some inspiration. Our requirements are that it's a classic, underused sort of name that's not too crazy, and ideally, we'd like it to be no more than three or possibly four syllables because we've got a double-barrelled surname. It doesn't necessarily need to "match" Clement but it would be nice if the names fit together, IYSWIM. We're also not afraid of names that aren't English by origin, but we'd prefer if they were European. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Ooh, liking some of these. Meredith, Beatrix, Greta, Adela and Sylvia are all along the right lines. Cicely and Ottilie I don't like; they sound like adjectives.

I love the nn Merry for Meridith!

I have also heard a Lilibeth which is similar to Lilith.

I also adore Martha, Sylvie and Persophone.

Some lovely names here...Margot and Hester are cool. I think I'd like a strong sort of name rather than a really flowery, ineffectual one. Keep 'em coming folks Wink

Esmerelda- quite long, but Esmie is nice
Estrella- Spanish for "star", if you go in for name meanings
Delius
Eustacia
Katarin
Chaim
Saraline
Grietje- short for Margreet/Margeurite
Torey
Simone
Kay
Phayma (unusual, but I've seen it somewhere)
Georgina/Georgia
Drina (from the Drina books :o)
Levi

Love Maris from lists above. I quite like Eugenie, it's my cousin's name.

Umm...... Can I point out former Prime Minister Clement Attlee. Don't you think that Clement and Ottilie will be a bit on the similar side?

I would suggest looking at some of the classical names

Sophie
Juno
Agatha
Selina
