Malachi (Mal)

Thanks for suggestions, they all sound a bit out there. (with exception of Joseph/Benjamin etc which are too popular) I know Solomon is not ordinary but just sounds lovely to me. Love Arthur but think its on the rise. Also like Harold and Maximus but not keen on Max or Harry. Anything that compliments Solomon without being too biblical?

Benedict
Gabriel
Raffael

I was under the impression you wanted 'out there' considering your first ds is Solomon!

ceeceeanne · 05/06/2011 10:56

I know belgo but I got used to it after partner suggested it early on in pregnancy. I initially hated it and thought it sounded miserable but I have a tendancy to get to love names I initially dislike! Hormones eh?! Like Benidict but not Ben! Gabriel and Raffael too girly? I defo do want original but not ove rthe top if you know what I mean? Is Percy too wussy?

Oscar (nn Oz or Ozzy)

MarissaMum · 05/06/2011 11:04

Nathaniel?

ceeceeanne · 05/06/2011 11:11

Have liked Nathaniel for a long time but dont know if love it. Also partner not keen (war of the roses or something). Oscar popular. Like nn Otti but find Otis a bit short.

Love Solomon.

Levi is a great suggestion. I don't think it's too 'out there'. I also love Amos. Reuben, Caleb and Asher equally lovely.

How about Isaac or Isaiah? Can be shortened to Ike, which is cool. Ezra seems to be on the rise, but I don't think it'll ever be very popular. Ezekiel is a bit 'out there', maybe, but Zeke is a great nickname.

Aaron: is lovely, but quite popular.
I've heard Abel bandied out a few times.
Elijah seems to be catching on, as does Eli.
Ethan is handsome.
Felix is getting more popular but is a great name and goes well with Solomon. Jared?
Jonah or Jonas, nn Joe?
Jude?
Josiah is fantastic, IMO.
Luke or Luka/Luca?
Micah
Matthias
Nathan
Peter
Rufus
Samson, Silas - too much S with Solomon?
Timothy
Tobias

BumpPlus2 · 06/06/2011 11:50

Marking my place! I am after a boy's name for siblings Noah and Casper and thinking lots of these suggestions might work for me too Wink
