Bertram Arthur Wilkinson
or
Rory Frederick Wilkinson

Or any combination of above that works best? I like them all but prefer Arthur/Fredrick as middle names, I think.

Bertram would be Bertie (this is the names my OH has his heart set on)

Bertram Arthur sounds fab. Not too keen on Rory.

munstersmum · 03/06/2011 17:37

Got to be a Bertram not a Rory. Am quite taken with Frederick Bertram though Smile

minipie · 03/06/2011 17:41

Frederick is my favourite, I'd have it as a first name.

but Bertie/Bertram is good too.

MotherSnacker · 03/06/2011 17:44

Bertram arthur has a nice ring to it. I love Bertie.

Nightstar · 04/06/2011 15:05

My OH will be pleased, that's his fav combo, Do you not think Bertram sounds abit odd with Wilkinson?

Rory. It means King.

Bertram is f*kcing ludicrous sorry. I think it means knobby parents.
Robert with Bertie for short would be better. Bertram Wilkinson. Oh dear Lord. That is so bad.

Frederick is a lot better. That's a really good name. Arthur is one of those urban chic names. I don't like it, but it's not as bad as Bertram.

IslaValargeone · 04/06/2011 16:55

Rory is fab. Bertram, dear God no.

scarlettsmummy2 · 04/06/2011 17:01

I like Bertie but have you read any of the Alexander McCall Smith Scotland Street books?? makes me think of those!

FriggFRIGG · 04/06/2011 20:42

Rory is lovely.....

bertie is cute,
bertram is pretty awful,
sorry.

Clary · 04/06/2011 21:55

I like Albert nn Bertie better than Bertram tbh. Neither goes with our surname so not on our list (fine with Wilkinson tho!)

I prefer yr middle names actually. Freddie Wilkinson, mmm. Don't worry too much about the combination as middle names are rarely used. Unless they make a silly acronym.

sims2fan · 05/06/2011 13:13

I personally prefer Albert Wilkinson to Bertram Wilkinson, and Bertie is still a nice nickname for Albert. He could also call himself Al if he prefers when he's older, whereas with Bertram there isn't really another shortening he could use if he ever decides he doesn't like Bert/Bertie.

Edmundo · 05/06/2011 13:15

Bertram is wanky.

Rory Frederick is brilliant.

EduStudent · 05/06/2011 18:36

Love Bertie, though I prefer Albert to Bertram.

CandiceMariePratt · 05/06/2011 18:38

Bertram is much nicer than Rory

Nightstar · 05/06/2011 23:16

Gosh, a swing the other way. I don't know now! Still vacillating between the two

rooks14 · 05/06/2011 23:20

valium :D I totally agree, the meaning of Bertram is deffo "my parents have a 4x4 even though we don't live on a farm".

rooks14 · 05/06/2011 23:21

Rory's nice!

radancer · 07/06/2011 02:36

Frederick Arthur or Rory Frederick.

Bertram just isn't fair.

WorzselMummage · 07/06/2011 02:56

Rory is my fantasy baby name of the moment.. Use that!

SloganLogan · 07/06/2011 08:17

Rory Frederick (or Frederick Arthur!)

Nightstar · 07/06/2011 13:29

Uh... I do have a 4x4 ;-) But i did grow up on a farm, does that count?

itsohsoquiet · 08/06/2011 22:22

I adore Bertie short for Albert

FruitSaladIsNotPudding · 09/06/2011 14:18

Rory is lovely. Bertram is vile, Sorry.

oohlaalaa · 09/06/2011 14:25

Rory Frederick Wilkinson

manchurian · 09/06/2011 14:40

for some reason Bertram Wilkinson sounds strange to me. Maybe Bertrand Wilkinson would be better?

But I agree Albert is nicer.

I don't like Rory really.
