I am slowing getting there. I really love Rosalie. How does it sound? Is it too girly?

It's beautiful. It's certainly not a weak name imho.

LovelyJudy · 01/06/2011 22:02

i love it.

BooBooGlass · 01/06/2011 22:03

Please don't. It will date horribly with everyone jumping on the Twilight bandwagon

TeddyMcardle · 01/06/2011 22:05

I love it and hate twilight. If I ever get the chance to have another baby and it's a girl, she'll be a Rosalie.

LovelyJudy · 01/06/2011 22:06

i know nothing of twilight.

I had a friend named Rosalie when I was little (in the late 70s / early 80s). I've always loved the name and never knew there was a connection to the Twilight books / movies. When all that goes out of fashion, Rosalie will still be classic.

It's feminine but strong, a little bit different but not try-hard at all. Beautiful as is, no need for nicknames, but there are plenty there if you (or she) prefers Rose, Rosa, Rosie, Roz, Ro, or even Ali.

I think it's a fantastic name.

I know nothing of Twilight either. It's nice, but personally prefer Rosanna or Rosamund.

Hope88 · 01/06/2011 23:03

Thanks everyone. Never watched Twilight. I Just like the sound of the name.

Pretty. I know a Rosella - which I think is lovely.

Annie456 · 03/06/2011 10:50

I can't say Rosalie without thinking of "Rosy-Lee" cockney rhyming for "tea"...which is a massive shame. I like Roseanna but DH isn't keen so just going for "Rose" if LO is a girl.

oohlaalaa · 03/06/2011 11:21

Beautiful. I love it.

YoureaKITTY · 03/06/2011 12:35

Beautiful. Had no idea it had Twilight associations personally and I don't think it will become that popular because of it - it's no Bella (the protagonist - yes that's the extent of my Twilight knowledge).

I used to flatshare with a swedish girl called Rosalie. She was impossibly beautiful and used to walk around the flat naked. My male friends were very keen on popping in for a cuppa...
