It seems a grown-up name ...What are the nicknames? How popular is it? Anyone has Verity? How is she called?

I've only ever known one, and she was always called Verity. It's an easy name to say and doesn't really need a nn or diminutive. I suppose some people might use Vee or just V.

MeltingChocolateBunnies · 30/05/2011 13:41

At school I'm afraid we used to use Ferret!

Lollypolly · 30/05/2011 13:49

I have a Verity - she's 2 and her nicknames are Vee or Vivvi

Ruprekt · 30/05/2011 13:50

Vivvi is very cute!

Lovely name. My friend gets called V, Vez or Vezaroo.

stardustn · 30/05/2011 14:16

The only Verity I know is usually called Vez

Greenwing · 30/05/2011 15:53

The only Verity I have every met is about 18 now and was always called Verity! I would use Vee as a nn.
Pretty name.

I wanted to call DD Verity. DH said no because at school they had a girl everyone called Very-Titty :(

The Verity at DD's nursery only gets called Verity. She's 4.

Valinor · 30/05/2011 16:00

I have a 4 year old Verity. We call her V for short.

We have had nothing but compliments on her name since day 1.

itsohsoquiet · 30/05/2011 16:54

I only know one Verity in her early twenties and nickname is Vee which I like.

Vivi or Very.

highlystrung · 31/05/2011 12:03

Vee is the nickname I've heard of. Lovely name.

gillybean2 · 31/05/2011 12:05

I know of one, late twenties I reckon she is.
I love the name

CherryDrops · 31/05/2011 12:32

The only one I've ever known was known as Ferret. Sorry.

whizzyrocket · 01/06/2011 21:25

I've known two- one my aunty, the other a girl who was in my year at school (I'm now 25).

Neither have ever been known as anything but Verity. I think you could use Vee though. Viv or Vivi sounds fussy to me and too much linked to Vivienne.
