I'm having a hard time with girls names, and am asking for critiques & suggestions.

Winifred - my husband's absolute favourite, I go back and forth.
Irena
Honora
Taline (Ta-leen) - worry a bit about it being constantly mispronounced.
Lucille
Branwen

Branwen for me Smile winifred was my great grandmothers name so i also like it, but nicknames are a bit tricky

cece · 26/05/2011 21:39

Honor

YorkieGate · 26/05/2011 21:40

Lucille is my favourite I think.

Taline will be misspelt and mispronounced, only go for it if that won't bother you.

MelinaM · 26/05/2011 21:43

Honor for me tooSmile Honora sounds wrong, Lucille is 'too much', Lucy is lovely though.
Not a fan of Winifred, Irene or Taline I'm afraid.

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 26/05/2011 22:49

Winifred, with the nn Freddie.

ResurrectionByChocolate · 26/05/2011 22:52

Winifred/Freddie gets my vote. Winora would be a combination of some of your possibles.

FannyNil · 26/05/2011 22:54

Prefer Winnie to Winnifred - my aunt's name. Guess the nickname would be Pooh, though.

Really don't like Taline - Tureen? Tallin/Tallon's nice though.
My favourites are Irena and Lucille, although if you're willing to change the spelling, I love Honoria, and Honor's nice too.

blushingm · 28/05/2011 21:24

Fallon is nice - Tallon makes me think of witches finger nails

Lucille
