I really love this name, am a huge Poldark fan and it conjures up images of swashbuckling men on horses with ponytails and tight breeches

Would I actually use it for dc2... I don't know. Part of me says yes, part of me says no. DH likes it.

Thoughts? :)

I think of Friends and the rather geeky Ross. But maybe I'm just common!!

GwendolineMaryLacey · 23/05/2011 15:58

Ah, see I have never seen Friends so don't know who he is.

I have two teen girls so the blooming thing always seems to be on in our house!!

5inthebed · 23/05/2011 16:09

I like it. Suggested it for DS3, but Dh has a cousin calle that so didn;t want to use it.

LetThereBeRock · 23/05/2011 16:34

I like it.

cadifflur · 23/05/2011 17:20

Like it. Have only known one Ross (he's my SIL's partner and a very nice chap!) in RL, as well as the one on friends. Go for it if you really like it - there aren't many of them out there, but it's not a trying to be different name either IYKWIM, just nice, strong and hopefully you won't get nick-names out of it either - altho you'll always get those trying to call him Ross-y. We chose one syllabul name for DS and it amazed me the number of people who tried to lengthen it with a y at the end!!!

bigbluebump · 23/05/2011 17:38

I like it.

Aimsmum · 23/05/2011 18:14

DP is a Ross, but no ponytail or tight breeches here! Grin I like it.

MelinaM · 23/05/2011 18:39

Lovely nameSmile

GwendolineMaryLacey · 23/05/2011 18:40

Aw, I was looking on your profile for photos of your DP to double check :o

Yes, not sure about my Ross fantasies going hand in hand with a pooing, puking child... I do like it though...

Yes I like it.

BeautifulBlondePineapple · 24/05/2011 13:39

I love it and would have used it for DS1 or DS2....except for the fact that it is DH's name. No ponytail or breeches here either, but he is a little bit of a geek (in a good way :) )

McKaz · 31/05/2011 15:12

My brother is called Ross and it's quite a common name for men of our generation (in Scotland anyway). I think it's a lovely name.

valiumbandwitch · 31/05/2011 15:17

I like it. I like one syllable boys names.

BlueChampagne · 31/05/2011 15:29

I like it too, and it will be hard to abbreviate.
