What do you think?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
iskra · 23/05/2011 14:38

For some reason I am less keen on Sabrina (wasn't that a witch on TV) but I love Sabina.

GwendolineMaryLacey · 23/05/2011 14:38

I like it. Lovely name.

MeantToStopAtTwo · 23/05/2011 14:39

...The Teenage Witch.

I personally much prefer Serena.

worldgonecrazy · 23/05/2011 14:46

Beautiful name but I am biased. It's the name of the water nymph who gave the River Severn its name.

Kate Jackson in Charlie's Angels
The Italian "singer" who "sang" 'Boys. Boys, Boys' whilst prancing about in a pool whose bikini accidentally coming off and who shagged Berlusconi. Allegedly.

Converse · 23/05/2011 17:25

I like it. Quite unusual but not unheard of.

deliakate · 23/05/2011 17:29

I love it, same reason as worldgonecrazy. My dad's not keen - there was a busty 50s pinup with that name, and the boys, boys, boys one. He's sort of put me off it.....

minipie · 23/05/2011 17:31

It's ok, but like Meant I prefer Serena

minipie · 23/05/2011 17:31

Ooh, yes, iskra Sabina or Sabine are great too.

mathanxiety · 23/05/2011 17:40

Lovely name. I also love Sabine and Serena, and Seren.

lurkerspeaks · 23/05/2011 18:19

the teenage witch.

Don't like it at all.

backjustforaminute · 23/05/2011 18:22

It's a gorgeous name, not that many of them around but easy to spell & pronounce.

MelinaM · 23/05/2011 18:39

I think more of Audrey Hepburn in 'Sabrina', lovely nameSmile

pipparoo · 23/05/2011 18:58

Thanks all. I think of Audrey Hepburn too, MelinaM, love that film. Interesting division of opinion, I think it's pretty and would set a child apart without them having a name that's too 'out there'.
backjustforaminute does your daughter's name get shortened?

backjustforaminute · 23/05/2011 20:58

pipparoo it hasn't yet, but she's only 3... actually I've called her Nana Blush since she was a baby, which she doesn't mind but if anyone else calls her that she does a big, heartfelt sigh and says "My real name is Sa-bri-na " Grin

mummissinghermind · 23/05/2011 20:59

Don't like it.

tammytoby · 24/05/2011 11:37

I like Sabrina, also like Sabina/Sabine. Makes a nice change to all the Millies/Tillies/ Ellas you hear these days. Lovely choice Smile.

Sylvaniasandwich · 24/05/2011 14:32

I like it. Classic and beautiful.

Honeybee79 · 24/05/2011 20:39

I really like it.
