With your other children I think Alasdair, Leonard, Matthew, Harriet, Arabella and Abigail go best.

I wouldn't use Pipi with Philippa if I were you.
If you like that sort of thing, it would be cool to use Rua and Rea together for b/g twins.

When you say "Middle name 1" and "Middle name 2" do you mean "we'd like a middle name from this set for baby 1, and a middle name from this set for baby 2", or do you mean there are two middle names for each child?

mybootsaremuddy · 22/05/2011 19:37

2 middle names for each child. 1st mn is maori and 2nd mn is family(gp/ggp ect)

My favourtites are

Leonard Eti George
Quentin Hemi Alden

Tabitha Rea Alice
Arabella Kiri Joan

Lovely names Smile.

sonniebonnie · 22/05/2011 19:55

Alasdair Hemi George
Quentin Wiremu George
Vincent Hemi Peter

Philippa Rea Joan
Arabella Pipi Alice
Abigail Kiri Joan

Would be my choices, but they're all lovely classic names and it's nice that you're including maori names.

hulabula · 22/05/2011 20:41

Nice names, my favourites would be Vincent Eti Peter, Quentin Hemi George and Tabitha Ngaio Alice, Arabella Rea Joan. Good luck - you'll be having your hands full with twins and 4 other children Smile.

tiptoptally · 22/05/2011 22:38

Andrew Hemi Alden
Michael Rua George

Abigail Lani Joan
Harriet Pipi Meg

But Quentin, Tabitha, Ezekial and Leonard....do you WANT your children to grow up hating you?!?!?!

tammy234 · 23/05/2011 14:05

Love your existing childrens' names and think these would go particularly well

Alastair Eti Peter
Quentin Hemi George
Michael Hemi Alden
Tabitha Ngaio Alice
Arabella Kiri Joan
Phillipa Lani Joan

Good luck!

bigbluebump · 23/05/2011 18:52

Ezekiel Hemi George
Quentin Wiremu Alden
Matthew Rua Peter
Tabitha Ngaio Carrie
Arabella Kiri Joan
Arianna Rea Alice

sound lovely imo.

mybootsaremuddy · 24/05/2011 14:27

Well we have narrowed down the middle names!

Boys
Hemi George
Eti Alden
or
Eti George
Hemi Alden

Girls
Lani Alice
Kiri Joan
or
Kiri Alice
Lani Joan

Now to decide which combo sounds best and with what first name??????????

I think Leonard (Leo), Quentin (Quin) and Isaac as well as Tabitha, Arabella and Abigail are lovely, classic but not overused/trendy names. Lovely!

RueLaChesty · 24/05/2011 23:45

do you have to use the maori names as middle names? I think Kiri and Lani are lovely names and go well for twins. I think they are much nicer than the names you have on the list (which are fine but nothing jumps out)

boys i like matthew, michael and andrew and hemi alden and eti george combo.

mybootsaremuddy · 25/05/2011 18:58

My other dc all have
1st name, Maori name, family name, surname combo so would be worried it might seam a bit odd to others if we 'changed tactics' this time.

But then there are two of them so less likely to cause child to feel left out when older and realising they are named differently from siblings??

I love the Maori names its very important to me to include maori names when naming my dc as i am proud of my herritage. I would happily use them as first names but dh was worried that people would have trouble pron and spelling them. But i dont think this would be a problem with Lani or Kiri? I may have to work on dh a bit and see if i can persuade him........... hes such a stubbon old git thoughGrin

they are really lovely names. I like Rea too.

On name that popped into my head was Christina? Some of the girls and boys names you mentioned are my siblings so thought you maybe had similar taste to my mum. So christina or maybe even laura?

As i said the list you have is fine but elizabeth and juliet are lovely names and imo the list you have doesn't have the same feel IYKWIM?

Congratulations btw on your big brood, how lovely!
