Louis, Digby or Rufus?

Louis (DH is half French), Digby (too crazy?) or Rufus (too on-trend?)

All very different I know, but which do you like best?

Love Rufus!

Never been a fan of Louis, and Digby reminds me of a mole (but I can't put my finger on why!)

Go with Rufus for sure!!

emmanumber3 · 15/05/2011 22:13

My mum was going to be called Digby if she'd been a boy Grin. Apart from that, I've never heard the name be used, so it's certainly unusual. It's one of those names though that I have no idea whether I like or loathe, odd person that I am Confused.

Rufus is most definitely a dog. I would never go near the name for a child.

Louis is my favourite of the three - provided it is pronounced the french way and not as Lewis. IMO if a name is pronounced Lewis it should be spelt Lewis Blush.

Sorry to be no help at all!

I love Digby! Rufus seems a bit rah (whatever that means Hmm) to me. Louis is nice too, seeing as your DH is half french, otherwise it's a bit 'trying too hard' but again, I don't know why.

RitaMorgan · 15/05/2011 22:14

Louis is the only name for a person there Grin

Rufus and Digby are beloved family pets. Possibly labradors.

missmiss · 15/05/2011 22:14

Louis is quite nice but it's too popular - there are millions round here (SW London). I really like Digby but you'd have to be confident about using it because I imagine it might raise a few eyebrows.

Rufus also nice but a bit non-descript; I much prefer it to Louis, though.

Louis.

A long tine favourite. Classy and classic but not dull.

Others a bit trying hard, which is not necessarily a bad thing as classic can be a bit too scared to be noticed, the key is: do you love it?

I think Rufus could be a name I love on a boy I adored. Very cute actually.

I changed my mind ditch Louis go with Rufus.

HTH.

Nice names, but I love Digby. Digby is so cool.

I also like Hector but that's by the by.

exoticfruits · 15/05/2011 22:29

Louis-the other 2 are great for dogs.

didldidi · 15/05/2011 22:33

none - they're all too poncey

exoticfruits · 15/05/2011 22:37

I wouldn't like Louis- except that her DH is half French.

CDMforever · 15/05/2011 22:40

Louis is very popular in these parts and Digby is the Biggest Dog in the World, isn't he??!!

I think Digby is a no-go as I've not had the best responses fro friends either!

I think it will be between Rufus & Louis.

I love Digby - very cool imo. Rufus is nice too.

I'm not keen on Louis, especially pronounced Lou-is.

diddl · 16/05/2011 11:41
