So I have a Daisy Sophie & a Alfie Oscar, baby number 3 is due in 7 weeks and were thinking of Charlie Milo. Any opinions?

Nice, I like both Charlie and Milo. Personally would have Charles for birth certificate.

Jojay · 14/05/2011 21:28

Yes, nice names and they go well with your others.

tummytickler · 14/05/2011 22:32

Its OK. Goes well with siblings. Charlie lacks charm, however. I agree with Mercury, and would have Charles on the birth certificate.

I like. :)

FinnMa · 14/05/2011 23:44

I think Daisy, Alfie & Charlie are perfect together.

CocktailQueen · 14/05/2011 23:46

Yes - lovely :)

cece · 14/05/2011 23:48

Sorry I don't like it.

How about a different ending sound?

Luke
Thomas
Arthur
Edward

missmelo · 15/05/2011 00:01

Lovely, and goes really well with other dc's!

ChippingIn · 15/05/2011 00:04

I like Charlie - but not Milo (Tweenies).

mathanxiety · 15/05/2011 06:08

Sounds like air traffic controller code for letters of the alphabet when you put them all together.

sonniebonnie · 15/05/2011 09:12

I'm not keen on cutesy type names and I think Charlie will 'date', but as you seem to like such names then I think you should choose it as Daisy, Alfie and Charlie go well together.

5DollarShake · 15/05/2011 09:30

Agree with cece - how about a different sounding ending, as otherwise you're veering dangerously into cute-sy territory with all the 'ie' / 'y' sounding endings.

randomimposter · 15/05/2011 11:35

Charlie's really nice and goes with other siblings first names well. Milo doesn't work with it IMO. Agree with mathanxiety a bit - I thought the same when I read your OP.

Charlie Joseph/George/James

OppositeOfBlooming · 15/05/2011 11:46

It does sound a bit Charlie Milo roger and out. Grin

It goes well with your other children's names. I'd expect a Daisy and Alfie to have a sibling called Charlie. All cutesy names.

I don't particularly like it and find it a wee bit faddy but it suits your tastes judging by you other children's names. Charles is superb though. Will always end up as Charlie sadly. Go for it. Ignore what I think.

Hulababy · 15/05/2011 11:52

I like the name Charlie but would have Charles on the birth certificate.

I don't think it will date. It has been around for years.

It goes well with the names of your other children.

I am less keen on Milo but it is only a middle name anyway.

MercurySoccer · 15/05/2011 12:26

How about swapping the names round? Milo Charles would be nice.

Frankie000 · 15/05/2011 13:54

thank you all! It would def be Charles on birth cert, Alfie is Alfred we just call him Alfie. I actually agree with the same sounding endings comments, but just cant think of another boys name that I like! And the tweenies is putting me off Milo, but dh is adamant, he loves it!

Yes like Charlie and sounds good with the others, but do not like Milo. How about Miles?

springbokscantjump · 15/05/2011 15:50

Um milo is a fortified chocolate drink with milk in south africa.

Just saying.

MelinaM · 15/05/2011 15:56

Charles (Charlie) is lovely, Milo I don;'t like at all ..I know 2 of the canine kind, and the 'tweenies link' puts me off tooSmile

mopsyflopsy · 16/05/2011 13:44

This is Milo:

If your DH loves Milo and is happy to have it as the second name as opposed to the first, then do it. It's a nice mn.
