I have always liked the name Miranda and its meaning and we're considering it for DC2.

I'd prefer it not to be shortened but think Mimi is a cute nn.

What do you think?

thanks

Love the name MirandaSmile ...but absolutely abhor Mandy so Mimi would be perfect!

Hiya,
One of my best friends is called Miranda and she is absolutely gorgeous :) So I love the name! However she does get called some wacky nicknames but I think these have progressed as she has got older.

Some Include:
Mira, Randy, Mimzie (pie), Mimi, Randa etc....

I still love the name.. you can't help the nicknames you get no matter what name you have.. my name is Lauren and some of mined include: Loz(inge), Floz, Rennie, Lorry, Lollypop (I absolutely loathe this one) etc but I wouldn't change my name at all

Hope this helps

xx

Lovely, very pretty and not overused.

I love it! And I love Mimi too.

Thanks for your comments.

I really do like the name. Only negative that I can think of is that it's a very grown up name for a little baby. Of course she is a teenager/adult for a lot longer than a baby/toddler...

I like it. It doesn't sound any more 'grown up' than say Matilda.

I love love love it. A beautiful Shakespearean name.

I love it. Classy. But then I'm just a little bit biased Smile

Beautiful name. I love it. :)

Is classical, unpretentious, unusual (round these parts at least), strong but pretty.
