DH and I have finally agreed on Edward as a first name for bump, but can't come up with anything that sits well for a middle name. Our surname starts with T, and DH is adamant that no words can be spelt with initials (Which rules out my suggestions, Alfred and Arthur) DS 1 is Samuel James and DD is Maria Elizabeth. We had both their names sorted by 6 months and the new one is due in less than a week! I'd like to stick to old English names, but anything not too outlandish will do at this point!

He'll be an Eddie or Ed soon enough, so you should pick a middle name that matches those

I've suggested some less traditional options in case you sway...

Edward Hugo
Edward Harper
Edward Otis
Edward Rory
Edward Victor
Edward Ray
Edward Nathan

Ooh, lots of nice suggestions overnight! Thanks! I'll be discussing the list with DH when he gets home tonight, although FIL is coming for tea so I'm not sure when...

I like Hugo, hadn't thought of that one. I was thinking Ted or Teddy as a short/pet version of Edward, although it's usually Ed or Eddy around here :)
