Really like Millie I know it's getting quite common but not so much up here in Scotland it seems, I would like a long version for birth certificate but can't think of one. Other options are Josie or Ainsleigh.

I love it - always have done because my mum was a big fan of the film Thoroughly Modern Millie. I don't know anyone called Millie, so don't think it's common.

Josie is OK but don't like Ainsleigh - sorry. It sounds v. contrived.

Anything is nicer than Tilly/Milly etc as they really are very overused and I fear will sound dated soon. Sorry.

Love Josie, short for Josephine. Ainsleigh nice too.

May - I think it could be short for Amelia but your the first person to agree, don't like Millicent.

There were two in my NCT group (of 8) and they are both short for Emily.

Millies I know have full names of:

Millie (but DH & I call her Millicent/Mildred ;) )
Ameila

I like it but then I do love Amelia, Emily, Emilia, Camilla and Melissa as well
