I thought we had decided, but DH isn't sure...

Could you please help us choose a girl's name? Currently we have:

Alice Mary
Alice Hazel
Juliet Daisy or Juliette Daisy?
Georgie
Annabel or Annabelle?
Robyn _

Preferences and/or suggestions please. Thanks :)

I like Juliet Daisy, Alice Hazel and Alice Mary! Gorgeous names! I also think Alice Marie would sound really nice. Juliette and Annabelle look too fussy written down in my opinion. Robyn is not my taste at all. :S

Good luck finding the perfect name! :)

LoopyLoopsNincompoop · 01/05/2011 23:38

Thank you Emelene.

Do you think there is a danger of a Juliet / Juliette being called Julie or Julia? Couldn't bear that.

Juliet Alice. I have never heard of a Juliet being called Julie - I think of them as being completely different names. I do know a 10 year old Juliet who goes by Etta or Ettie which I think is lovely.
I also like Hazel as a first name - Hazel Alice is really cute!
Not keen on Annabel or Robyn.

LoopyLoopsNincompoop · 02/05/2011 00:01

DH thinks we might get "Jules", which is vile.

I like Hazel Alice, but initials would be HAD.

I like

Alice Mary
Juliet Daisy
or Annabel

Not so keen on

Robyn
or
Georgie

MelinaM · 02/05/2011 00:55

Alice or Juliette, both beautiful classic namesSmile

Alice Juliette

Juliette Alice

LoopyLoopsNincompoop · 02/05/2011 01:05

Thank you all. What do you think about DD having the same initials as DH? (all 3 initials the same)

I like Alice.

Not keen on Juliette (and I think it may end up as Jules)

Don't like Georgie.

Like Robyn and Annabelle.

I think it's ok for her to have same initials.

manicinsomniac · 02/05/2011 04:22

I like all of those but my favourite would be Juliette Daisy

MollyMurphy · 02/05/2011 05:31

I am quite fond of Annabelle at the moment. I also quite like Alice but it does seem to be moving up in popularity as does Juliette.

I am not fussed about Georgie and Robyn TBH.

Bucharest · 02/05/2011 07:34

Alice.

theagedparent · 02/05/2011 09:03

Alice Robyn

GwendolineMaryLacey · 02/05/2011 11:39

Love Robyn and Hazel, not keen on the others. Hazel is definitely due a comeback.

MayBankHoliday · 02/05/2011 11:40

Alice Mary - like
Alice Hazel - OK
Juliet/Juliette Daisy - like with Juliet spelling, although I agree Jules might be hard to avoid
Georgie - nice as nickname for Georgia or Georgina
Annabel/Annabelle - very nice, prefer Annabel spelling
Robyn - not keen, too unisex

Annabel Georgia, Annabel Daisy, Juliet Annabel or Georgia Mary would be nice.

ColonelBrandonsBiggestGroupie · 02/05/2011 17:10

Alice Hazel or Juliet Daisy - both lovely.

Really don't like Robyn or Georgie.

mathanxiety · 02/05/2011 17:43

I don't like Robyn, Georgie or Daisy, but any of the other names in combination would be lovely.

Juliet Hazel
Juliet Alice
Juliet Annabel
Juliet Mary
Mary Annabel
Mary Alice
Hazel Mary
Hazel Alice
Hazel Annabel
Alice Mary

Prinpo · 02/05/2011 17:48

Love Juliet - you may not be able to avoid Jules as she gets older but you could try and encourage Lettie for as long as you can. Juliet Alice or Juliet Mary would be my choice.

twinmumplus1inthetum · 02/05/2011 18:01

A vote for Juliet Alice.
I have a Juliet and she is never called Julie or Julia, unless someone mishears her name.
Called herself Juju when tiny.
I'm dreading Jules which I anticipate as a teenager but hey......

belgo · 02/05/2011 18:02

Alice Hazel is lovely.

LoopyLoopsBettyBoops · 03/05/2011 12:57

Hmmm another one to throw into the mix: Matilda. Any thoughts?

CandiceMariePratt · 03/05/2011 13:03

Matilda is lovely
