Hi all,
I am expecting DD3, due in May. We already

Constance Agatha Edith (3)

Shortlist is:
Patience Evangeline Arabelle
Prudence Evangeline Arabelle
Penelope Evangeline Arabelle

What do you think?

I think so. Definitely not as in mobile (purse)phone

happymole · 23/04/2011 08:16

Thanks Smile

So the Per isn't silent?

For ages i thought it was Percy-phone Blush

pootros · 23/04/2011 08:19

I agree with porkchop - hermione for double P reasons

pilates · 23/04/2011 08:37

Not keen on any of the first names but like Evangeline and think it sounds great with your other two daughters.

SilkStalkings · 23/04/2011 18:41

Lovely names but I think Penelope sounds too much like Persephone and the others sound too much like Constance. Also it's 2 Greek heroines or 2 virtues - becomes lopsided and leaves one dd out. Clearly you like those sounds but I do think you should go for something more differing for #3.

How about a bit of Shakespeare?

Cordelia, Miranda, Rosaline, Hermia, Titania, Ophelia, Viola, Portia, Perdita, Dorcas?

LynetteScavo · 23/04/2011 18:45

Prudence

Hermione

Ah, I see you have Prudence!

Cordelia,

Ottilie

HalleLouja · 23/04/2011 18:48

Helena (Helen), Eleni (one of my faves) on the greek theme.

I like Evangeline.

There was a character on Holby called Persephone and she shortened to Penny so wouldn't use if you have a Penelope already.

KateWales · 23/04/2011 18:48

Persephone and Penelope are far too similar, I second Genevieve & Augusta came to me as a mn just then...

ensure · 23/04/2011 19:32

You need a new shortlist. For as others have pointed out, with your current list one DD is going to be odd.

Annunziata · 23/04/2011 19:40

Apollonia
Serena
Seraphina

Testarossa2468 · 23/04/2011 20:29

LOVE Prudence. It was one of our favourites :)

LilyBolero · 23/04/2011 20:34

Definitely not another P name, too confusing!

I like Oriana!

A1980 · 23/04/2011 20:49

TBH none of them.

But if you must:

Penelope Evangeline Arabelle

It isn't as bad as the rest.

A1980 · 23/04/2011 20:51

Ooh also agree that penelope sounds too much like Persephone.

If you're in to Greek godesses how about Artemis?

mathanxiety · 23/04/2011 21:18

Calista Evangeline Arabelle
Athena Evangeline Arabelle
Helena Evangeline Arabelle
Theodosia Evangeline Arabelle

squeak2392 · 26/04/2011 09:24

Penelope or Prudence.

Love the nn Prue, but not keen on Prudence. Also not you want to have Constance and Prudence.

Like Penelope but think it's maybe a bit too normal/common considering your other daughters?

Either way, I don't think you should go for a P name.
How about Magdalena?

squeak2392 · 26/04/2011 09:25

Sapphira?

Arabelle Penelope Evangeline

cheapFlower · 27/04/2011 10:10

strongly agree with some here: Patience and Prudence are really, well, awful IMO.

I really love Penelope but I find it far too similar to Persephone (lovely name too!). I also think I would go for a different first letter (i.e. nothing with P)

@happymole - I would pronounce persephone as PER(why drop that syllable?)-se-fon-e

Hedwig3 · 27/04/2011 10:14

Love Penelope and Prudence.

Mum2Pea · 28/04/2011 14:11

Penelope is the best, but agree its too close to Persephone
what about Evangeline Penelope?

bumpsoon · 29/04/2011 22:51

Euphemia?
