Mirabelle?

Hi everyone,
I am finally pregnant on our sixth round of IVF, and DH and I believe it is a miracle that we are finally blessed with a child. He wants to call the baby Mirabelle if it is a girl, as it is similar to 'miracle', but I'm not 100% on the name. What do you think of Mirabelle? Or do you know any names which mean 'miracle' (both sexes please!)

If you scroll down the Baby Names topic a wee bit, there's another thread on the name Mirabelle, started a couple of days ago.

I don't know many names that mean miracle and those I sort of know of aren't that brilliant imo. Dorothy is beautiful though (or Dorothea) and means 'God's gift'. Or Beatrix means 'bringer of joy'. They might suit?

I love Mirabel btw. If this baby is a dd she will be Josephine Aphra Mirabel.

Thanks Turtles, I really am beaming! I checked out the Mirabelle thread, everyone seems to prefer it spelt Mirabel, which I think is nicer actually. Struggling to find names meaing miracle, must keep looking!

My friend has just had a Mirabelle. I used to dislike it but I have warmed to it.

I really do like Mirabelle, and I definitely prefer that spelling! A beautiful name!

I love the name - my third is named Mirabelle. Similar to you, my husband really liked the name and I wasn't so sure, but after having a rare complication after the birth and coming through a lot better than expected, it did seem to fit best among our girl names.

The only names I know that mean miracle are Nessa/Nessia for a girl, and Nissim for a boy.

Milagros - Spanish girls name, literally means means miracle. Would get the cute nns of Mila or Milly. But maybe a bit too Spanish?

According to google both Keiko and Gwynth mean blessed.
