Just a fantasy name that DP absolutely refused, but since I'm nearly due I thought I'd just see what the reaction would have been if I'd persuaded him. What do you reckon? Cool Americana or just plain odd?

Sorry, really doesn't work for me.

exoticfruits · 19/04/2011 19:43

DP is very sensible!

FriggFRIGG · 19/04/2011 19:44

no!

LetThereBeRock · 19/04/2011 20:21

A definite no.It's a horrid name,though it's a slight improvement on Bamber.Grin

PorkChopSter · 19/04/2011 20:24

Winkie as a NN?

meadowlarks · 19/04/2011 21:05

Oh, frigg...I know, I know! Pahaha, guess the old DP was right then. We're sticking with Gilbert anyway Wink

Wilkie Collins for me also. It's interesting, but please stick with Gilbert!!

MollysChambers · 19/04/2011 21:40

Sounds like a childrens word for penis.

FriggFRIGG · 19/04/2011 21:42

gilbert is fantastic...

i was trying to convince everyone that Jezabel deserved a comeback when i was pregnant with DC1....Hmm

meadowlarks · 19/04/2011 21:49

Huzzah for Gilbert love. Wilkie Collins was cool, hence my hormone-fueled assumption that any future Wilkies would be cool too.

Frigg - Pregnant or not, Jezebel would be a great name were it not for the whole "fallen woman/prozzie" look Grin

damn the bible....it's screwed up my favourite name!

MelinaM · 19/04/2011 22:36

Love Jezabel!!! ...surely one day!!!

Maud2011 · 19/04/2011 22:57

Wee Willie Winkie comes to mind Shock

Bue · 20/04/2011 15:29

Sarah Jessice Parker named her son James Wilkie for Wilkie Collins. They actually call him "James Wilkie" apparently. I think it's a bit much, myself.

No - it's terrible. Sorry but it just is. I only think of Wilkie Collins and his name was actually William anyway. Wilkie was his middle name (and was taken from somebody else's surname).

Firawla · 20/04/2011 18:57

not good at all.. definitely sounds like a name for penis

meadowlarks · 21/04/2011 13:04

Muhuhaha, I suppose DP was right then...he will be smug when I tell him. It'd be a bit difficult to change the cot that DP's carved "Gilbert" on to anyway Wink
