I love the name but a friend said she just thinks of the tacky braclets! What do you think of it?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
LaWeasel · 15/04/2011 16:08

Pandora's box of evil?

Just no.

4sophia · 15/04/2011 16:09

Box?

Not for me. Sorry.

albania · 15/04/2011 16:13

Pandora's box
Quite a nice name, actually.
There's also that Avatar movie, wasn't there a planet called pandora that the moon people lived on?

burntsienna · 15/04/2011 17:22

You could stave off the evils by giving her Hope as a second name Smile

SolarPanel · 15/04/2011 17:42

Box

SolarPanel · 15/04/2011 17:42

How about Paloma or Isadora instead?

grumpypants · 15/04/2011 17:43

Yuck. Adrian Mole, bracelets, box. No other associations that I can think of. Sorry.

wildcatsrock · 15/04/2011 17:45

also showing my age ,i think adrian mole.pretty name though

MelinaM · 15/04/2011 18:21

I love the name Pandora (hate the nn Dora), I only think of Pandora's box, those hideous bracelets will soon fade into oblivionSmile

jellybeansontoast · 15/04/2011 18:23

I think Adrian Mole too and I'm a young 'un, promise.

Don't like it though. Didn't Adrian used to call her 'Pan' in his musings? You could call the next one Kettle. Grin

suwoo · 15/04/2011 18:29

Adrian Mole firstly, the box second, the bracelets third, my friends rabbit fourth, and a fb friends middle name fifth. Despite all those associations, I like it.

CountHotCrossBapula · 15/04/2011 18:34

Adrian Mole, definitely. And Rhys Ifans in Notting Hill: "I knew a girl at school called Pandora. Never saw her box, though."

MelinaM · 15/04/2011 18:46

^Grin

Bunbaker · 15/04/2011 18:51

Pandora's box was what came into my mind. I don't know what these bracelets are, but I am not a bracelet person.

In spite of that, I quite like the name.

AlpinePony · 15/04/2011 19:11

Hopelessly in love with Pandora.

Love it - good, strong name!

ThisFeelsWeird · 15/04/2011 19:21

Show us your box.

LaWeasel · 15/04/2011 19:27

It has to be strong.

It's got to keep all the evil in the world in it.

iskra · 15/04/2011 20:44

Friend used to go out with a Pandora. Lots of jokes about her box & whether he was getting to see inside it.

How about Polydora instead? Two good short names in there too for you choose between.

It's a dark, goth name, and tacky try-hard.

Why would you risk the box jokes too? Hmm
