Flynn?

I really like this name, any thoughts?

Only problem is the guy in the new Disney film Tangled is Flynn, I only found this out yesterday - I thought he was called Flint

We already have a name that appears in a Disney film, I don't like Disney films either, I chose it for different reasons and didn't even click until people started mentioning it after DDs birth.

I know of one aged about 5.
I really like it.
BUT can see why you are hesitating with the Disney link. Tricky.
On balance don't think it should stop you using it. BUT you have to be happy with that and prepared for the fecking irritating comments Grin

Is it immediatly recognisable as a Disney character?

My school age kids are boys so they aren't into Rapunzle!

that's what Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr called their baby boy.

Don't really keep up with sleb stuff so that doesn't bother me really.

Flynn is a great surname.

SolarPanel · 13/04/2011 12:28

Too surnamey for me, sorry.

saoirse86 · 13/04/2011 12:32

I love it, it's one of my favourites for a boy.

Surely there are an awful lot of names in disney films and other films. Surely people wouldn't assume that's why you chose it. Confused

PaganOfBologna · 13/04/2011 12:34

One of my good friends has a Flynn and it really suits him. Means son of the red-haired man though - does that fit?

ExitPursuedByALamb · 13/04/2011 12:36

My DD (11) has a friend called Flynn. I like it.

saoirse86 · 13/04/2011 12:39

Ooh Pagan that would work well for any future DS of mine then!

Although DP reckons it's "autumn gold" not red! Wink

TotorosOcarina · 13/04/2011 13:26

hmm, no, no red hair about.

My other 2 boys have 'surnamey' names so it fits i guess.

Mentioned it to DH and he said no so guess it doesn't matter anyways Grin
