What do you think of Morgan rose as a girl's name? It's listed on Mumsnet's Baby Name Finder.

Not keen, sorry. I am not a big fan of unisex/could be a surname names anyway, but realise that lots of people like them. However, I just don't think that the style of those two names goes together at all.

Would you actually use 'Morgan Rose' as the name, or would Rose be a 'never referred to except on forms' type middle name. If it's the latter and it has special meaning for you, go ahead. If you'd use them together routinely, I am sorry but I agree with the comment that it sounds a bit like a character out of Mills & Boon.

Bleugh.

Mum2Pea · 12/04/2011 10:27

sorry, another one that's not keen

Rose as a name is lovely

Morgan is not so much (IMO)

GetOrfMoiLand · 12/04/2011 10:28

Blowsy 80s actress in Falcon Crest.

Don't like it, sorry.

Ephiny · 12/04/2011 10:30

I like both names, but don't think they go together very well - not sure why...

Eglu · 12/04/2011 10:33

Morgan is one of those names where if I hear it on a boy I think that is a girls name and vice versa. It just doesn't sit well with either sex for me.

SaffaSouthernFairy · 12/04/2011 14:23

Its great :) Maybe not so much if you were going to call her both names, but 'Rose' as a middle name is really sweet.. Some people say that they don't go well together, but i really like the combo of a strong sounding unisex name with a pretty, girly middle name. (I am actually just about to post asking for peoples opinions on the name i like.) Of all the 'Morgans' i have ever heard of, the older ones are men and the younger ones are girls. I think it makes a lovely girls name.

I just cannot see the appeal of the name Morgan at all - sorry. What is it thats drawn you to it? It doesnt sound pretty, or distinguished its not even a girls name but a rather average surname.

mamalovesmojitos · 20/04/2011 19:48

Morgan is awful, sorry. Rose is gorgeous.

Edmundo · 20/04/2011 19:58

Morgan is all boy to me.

missmelo · 20/04/2011 20:00

Hi Amylou22...Morgan sounds like a surname and its barely passable for an American boy, not a lovely little British girl! Rose on the other hand as a first name is stunning! Good pick with Rose. I wouldn't give her a double barrel name either, they are a bit Texan oil barons daughter. Unless you are a Texan oil baron then my apologies :)

MelinaM · 20/04/2011 20:02

Rose is lovely, Morgan is horrendous!
