Am currently expecting DC6(!). Bump will be much longed-for DS1. Already have:

Saffron
Dahlia
Violet
Tulip
Blossom

We would love to carry on the 'flower' theme for DS, but we don't mind branching into 'nature theme. Any ideas?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

obviously you can call your ds anything you like, but Tarragon is awful and Bracken is a dog or a rabbits name - awful too!!
I actually like Moss and Forrest is ok too.

ColonelBrandonsBiggestGroupie · 10/04/2011 18:25

Ahh - Glen is one of the least silly ones suggested so far imho.

I like Philip/Pip too.

BendyBob · 10/04/2011 18:30

Brooke
Rowan
Winter
Sol
August

as others have said you can call your ds anything ,but please while you can get away with more unusual names for girls , a very exotic , unusual name will be much harder for a boy especially a teenager to carry off and he may not thank you for it .
if you do choose a more eccentric first name , please opt for a sensible middle name to at least give him some options .

Acer is good - the rest are utterly dreadful. Poor boy!

theanimalswentintwobytwo · 10/04/2011 18:35

Bracken or Rowan

WinlessChunder · 10/04/2011 18:38

I know a little boy called Oaken. Love that.

3rdnparty · 10/04/2011 18:39

I know a family with a similar theme to yours and one of the boys is Campion which is nice and a wild flower.

collision · 10/04/2011 18:56

Am not sure you should stick with the theme and should go with something completely different

Max
Theo
Felix
Finlay

TysonSnowflower · 10/04/2011 19:00

Cave
River
I know 2 dc with these names and they suit them
Dont like Lake, Moss and agree Forrest will be Gump, and nobody wants to be referred to as him.

pod3030 · 10/04/2011 19:01

Ormirian · 10/04/2011 20:09

Puck

Maternelle · 10/04/2011 20:14

Tarragon is really silly. Sorry.

Selks · 10/04/2011 21:53

Aphid?? Surely not! Hmm

OP, please choose something vaguely sensible that the poor child won't grow up to hate and get teased over!

Rowan and Ash are the ones that I like. Tarragon? Nooooo......

hellymelly · 10/04/2011 22:43

Bracken sounds like a pony from an Enid Blighton book. Also Bracken is toxic, please don't saddle the poor boy with that.Tarragon? He will NEVER get a date. And Campion? Not too great if he's either madly macho or more like John inman.

Hedwig3 · 11/04/2011 11:19

Basil
Heath

Mum2Pea · 11/04/2011 11:46

Your girls? names are gorgeous!
But agree, might be difficult to choose a boys name that he wont be teased about later on

From the list, names which I think stick with the theme but hopefully aren?t too out there are
Heath
Sunny
Rowan
Brooke
Oakley
Bay

Good luck and let us know what you end up choosing?
