Am currently expecting DC6(!). Bump will be much longed-for DS1. Already have:

Saffron
Dahlia
Violet
Tulip
Blossom

We would love to carry on the 'flower' theme for DS, but we don't mind branching into 'nature theme. Any ideas?

Hyacinth used to be a boy's name (as in Laennec, inventor of the stethoscope), but that might be a tad difficult to live with. Also Narcissus.

I always thought Tarragon would make a good boy's name....

More sensibly: Rowan, Joshua (as in the tree), Woody, Dale, Dean, Storm, Eden, Ashley, Sandy, Ray, Ambrose, Merlin, Bailey, Basil, Cosmo, Griffin, Forrest, Jacenty, Roscoe, Tor, Jasper, Leo, Lyndon, Peregrine, Reynard, Robin, Sylvester, Willoughby, Wulfric?

Or change theme and try Sextus or Sixtus?

blueberrymoon · 09/04/2011 19:40

Willoughby (willow farm?)
Somerby (summer village - think it could pass for a nature name! And I love it, although I am in the minority on here - MASSIVELY :))

DrNortherner, I was just going to post that Bracken is a traditional name for a springer spaniel.

Rowan is a fantastic name.

I love that name and can't use it because my surname is a noun. :( But Indigo is cool, I think. :) Not naturey as much, but it's in the rainbow!

I like Bracken the best out of your list. Reed is nice.

Won't Forrest attract Gump as a nickname?

ColonelBrandonsBiggestGroupie · 10/04/2011 17:43

Really, really don't like Tarragon.

ohnoshedittant · 10/04/2011 17:51

Please don't call your child Lake.

WhyMeWhyNot · 10/04/2011 17:53

Douglas [fir], Moss, Sage, Reed or Glen.

Love your girls' names so I'm sure you'll choose well.

Congrats on the pregnancy.
