Miklos is a Hungarian name (would be Nicholas in English). DH is Hungarian and wants this name for our son. How do you like it? Any feelings, connotations? Thanks.

I like it & think it's nice to include DH's heritage in a name. Does it fit with the surname? Be sure to think about initials too! :)

I like it - it's unusual for us, but easy to pronounce. You could always give him an English name as a middle name.

If your DH is Hungarian, he'll know that Hungarians are very fond of their nicknames. So, unless you specifically ask (but be prepared to be ignored) that they don't call him anything other than Miklos, Hungarian friends and relatives (especially the older generation) will most likely call him Miki or (even worse) Mikike.

Also, I'm sure you're aware that it's also considered to be a very very old fashioned, albeit lovely firstname.
