Been struggling with baby names for my third baby. Its a girl and am thinking of Layna or Tula. Opinions please. . . Plus can't think of a middle name to go with them.

Don't like Layna and Tula is a bag company.

They're a bit unusual for me, haven't heard of either before. I'd go for something similar but not quite so uncommon... Lena, Lianna, Leyla, Laura, Talia, Tanya, Tess?

ElsieR · 06/04/2011 11:27

Defo not Tula re-handbags.
Layna.... no not for me.
Sorry.

There is a Finnish name Tuula.

They sound made up I'm afraid. She will be forever explaining how to spell/prounounce. Layla or Tallulah would be better imo. What are your other DC called?

FlamingJamie · 06/04/2011 13:05

I like Tula

Rather than Layna, what about:

Lana
Leah
Lara
Lyra

I know a Tula - Australian aged about 14. Always thought it was nice.

Here is a great option for you...how about Thalia (or can be spelt, Talia)? A little more familiar but not too popular.

jellybeans · 06/04/2011 13:53

Don't like either but how about

Thea
Elodie
Leoni
Teija (tay-a)

Ihavewelliesbuttheyrenotgreen · 06/04/2011 14:01

I think that Lena would actually sound the same as Layna. Could also be short for Elena

manderella14 · 06/04/2011 14:51

I didn't know that tula was a handbag company. I seen Layna on the net on a baby name website its meant to be Greek ((e aren't Greek.) my other daughter is called Cayla.
