Yep, sounds good

crocdundee · 05/04/2011 18:05

My son's imaginary friend is called Morgan! He's always getting into trouble though :-)

BristolJim · 05/04/2011 18:06

Morgan the Organ.

posey · 05/04/2011 18:06

I know 2 male Morgans (age 16 and 7) and one female (age 14). I like it for either.

JenniL1977 · 05/04/2011 18:07

My friend's 5 year old ds is a Morgan, and he's awesome :)

Cheers- seems positive so far. It's the only name dh and i can agree on....... I just need that push over the edge.

i think its one of those safer names which people tend to neither really like or really dislike - as its more of a surname you'd have to consider how your own surname will sound with it

Iwantscallops · 06/04/2011 21:09

This was on our shortlist until we were told that the kids around here get the shortened version of 'Morg' as in morgue. Put us off completely.

Also, it's quite common around here.

kimbrulee · 07/04/2011 21:25

Morgan Freeman! yes I like it :-)

BuntyPenfold · 07/04/2011 21:33

I only know girls called Morgan.
It's not bad, car names are often cool :)

Sleepingonthebus · 07/04/2011 21:35

I like it, but then again, I have a Morgan, so I'm biased. Smile

ValiumSoltera · 07/04/2011 21:36

Morgan for a boy of course. Morgan for a girl, no.

SpringHeeledJack · 07/04/2011 21:36

I likey

we have a neighbour Morgan and he is delightful

Mumcentreplus · 07/04/2011 21:46

I like it..and I have good taste! Grin

TruthSweet · 07/04/2011 21:47

I really like Morgan for a boy (pron. More-guhn not More-gahn if that makes any senseConfused).

Just don't go for a unisex middle name like someone I know - they have a son called Morgan Lesley so it's impossible to tell the gender from the name.

claireabo · 07/04/2011 21:55

A friend of mine has a Morgan . Hes fab Smile I like it.

frazzlenz · 07/04/2011 22:02

I've got a boy Morgan and he gets called Morgy all the time which is fine by me. Agree about picking a 'boys' name for the middle.

Seems to me that Morgan is more popular in the US for girls. I was a bit worried when he was about 2 as seemed to only meet 'girl Morgans'. Since then its all been boys so I'm very glad I choose it. My son has no problem with having a unisex name.

Hmmmm. Are you Welsh? I sort of think it's only acceptable if you're Welsh.

candleshoe · 07/04/2011 23:28

Not unless you are planning a welshman or a sportscar!
