I'm looking for names which aren't too typically girly and suggest a damsel in distress i.e Pansy, Poppy, Gabriella etc...these are all very nice but just aren't for me....according to me dh I'm looking for names with a bit of "spunk". We already have a Ben(Benjamin) and a Harry...oh and it's twin girls!! So i need two names :)

Artemis and Athena

Lancelottie · 04/04/2011 16:51

Ahem. Much as I like Harriet, it MIGHT be a bit confusing with Harry as a brother

ramade · 04/04/2011 17:09

Vote for Ramona also Zena (scottish meaning defender/helper of mankind).

DELHI Except when she's the big fat seawitchmonster in the Little MermaidGrin.

DD's name is generally shortened to a boy's name - was one of our reasons for choosing it.

We loved Robyn too - I suppose it would go with Batman! Grin

For spunky I would go for something short:

Zoe (its actually v. ancient - greek for "life" - but also sounds modern so best of both worlds)
Erin
Joss

RancerDoo · 04/04/2011 21:33

Ramona is good.

Josie too.

Marin?

And I like Robyn (although Robyn and Ramona = too sweet for words when together)

ivykaty44 · 04/04/2011 21:35

I know a few georgia, georgina and they all end up being george, which as a girl on there own maybe ok - but if you are a twin I wouldn't like one girl to have a girl name and the other to be a boy name, just my thoughts.

Ruth and tess would be lovely together or Ramona and Ruth Ramona and tessa

SugarSkyHigh · 04/04/2011 21:39

Georgia or Georgina, and Scarlett.

MerryMarigold · 04/04/2011 21:40

I like Claudia. My little twin gal is right feisty one, and I wish I called her Claudia! Congrats on the pregnancy and hope it all goes brill.

Loving Robyn and Nancy out of all names on thread.
Frankie and Nina ace too.

Hulababy · 04/04/2011 21:54

Matilda
Martha
Florence

A1980 · 04/04/2011 22:04

You can have my name for one of them: Alexandra. Alex is a bad ass name for a girl and I've had nothing but positive feedback with it.

Other girl, Regina (nn Reggie, equally bad ass).

Honeymum · 04/04/2011 22:22

I've got an Honor. She is nails!
