I am still pmsl at the mention of the Fanny Fidler gravestone on the other names thread. I can only assume that one was through marriage.

When I was at school - I can JUST remember that long ago - there was a girl in the year above called Sarah Melly - think about it

my mum went to school with a 'violet balls'.

My mum went to school with Terence Farrington who was forever to be know as: Tarts Farts.

I went to school with a Karen McBarron and a Ryan O'Brian.

I know of an Annette Curtain, Dwayne Wayne [surname], Richard Head, James Bond, a Mr E. Yore & a Dwayne Pipe

My Nana is a B.J.[surname]

When I was going on a school trip in my last year of Primary school, my teachers were called Miss Haddock & Miss Lake (at the time my Mum thought it was hilarious to ask if they could swim...)

I also went to school with two Jenny Taylor's (yes, really!)

Oh & DP had a Chemistry teacher called Dexter... think Dexter's Lab!

I have an Aussie colleauge called S Hole [childish snigger]

DP's sister was born on Remembrance Day, so their parents wanted to call her Poppy... last name is Fields. Luckily they realised and picked a different first name!

My mother knew a Fanny Pinus.

Sara Cox has a baby Isaac. But uses his father's surname. Lucky for the kid.

I used to know Iona Pyle, and my mum went to school with Honor Kermode. Best one was an elderly person who I only know by name through a job I used to do - Airey Muff.
Speaking as someone with a ridiculous middle name/surname combo I can only sympathise with those afflicted!

Mr Careless on a brass solicitors plate has always worried me.
At university we used to get post for a Mr Fuck wala lam (I'm not sure of the spelling of the last bits, but the first bit kind of sticks in the memory). It stopped being funny after a while because he got lots of post and had left no address so we got rather fed up of him.
