Opinions please on the name Olivia April? I've mulled over so many names that I don't know what sounds good any more.

I like Olivia Rose too but I'm aware that this is very popular, although it doesn't bother me too much.

Thanks.

Is she due in April? Smile

To be honest I'm not massively keen on either name by itself - sorry. Olivia is pretty, but so overused that it's lost its impact for me. I'm not keen on April at all. It has vague undertones of the 70s and formica and all things domestic.

That said, they flow well together and, as always, if you like them then you should use them. You'll always get some people who don't like your name choice.

I completely get what you mean about no longer knowing what sounds good.

Any others that you're pondering?

Rose is popular for a middle name, but for a reason, it is lovely. Olivia April does flow nicely but Olivia Rose would be my choice though.

Having said that I personally wouldn't choose Olivia due to it being No 1 last year.

What about Lydia Rosemary ...

Lydia has the same rhythm as Olivia I think, but it's stronger and less used. Although if you're not bothered about popularity, Olivia is very pretty too. I don't like April much, even as a middle name. I think it's because it has APE in it!! Rose is such a cliché as a middle name now. Shake it up a little!! go for Rosemary!?
