Name for sister to Arthur and Edward?

I've just given birth to an adorable DD2, but DH and I are struggling to decide on a name to go with Arthur and Edward. We'd like a classic name(but not old-fashioned) that goes well with Arthur and Edward. Please help!

Thank you so much. From your comments I have changed Ottoline to Ottilie, its a lot nicer actually!
We have narrowed it down to three:
Ottilie Rose Marguerite
Louisa Rose Marguerite
Florence Rose Marguerite.

I think she looks like an Ottilie, but DH wants Louisa (his beloved Grandmother).
May have to have Ottilie Louisa Rose Marguerite to keep him happy!!

Louisa Rose Marguerite is the one I prefer.

JiltedJohnsJulie · 27/03/2011 17:23

Forgot to say congratulations earlier. Think Ottilie Louisa Rose Marguerite is gorgeous.

kangers · 27/03/2011 19:14

Ditto OP congrats and loving your final choice (although I bet there's still time to reconsider) Best of luck

Marlinspike · 27/03/2011 19:18

Congrats - my fave would be Imogen.

kangers, yes, Ottoline is a "real" name - Lady Ottoline Morrell was an influential member of the literary Bloomsbury group in the 20's I believe (knew that Eng Lit degree would come in handy sometime!)

ThisFeelsWeird · 27/03/2011 19:25

Um, doesn't it make you think of otters?

Or, "utterly" (as in butterly...)

Sorry to poor cold water. I like the idea of it but the reality may be prone to teasing.

I like Imogen best.

eurycantha · 27/03/2011 20:03

that s the first time i`ve heard Anita on here ,thanks bright copper kettles

kangers · 27/03/2011 20:19

thanks marlinspike, and thisfeelswierd I agree about unusual name, but the girl I know gets no teasing.
Then we have students called 'Bunny'.

Bumperlicioso · 27/03/2011 20:30

What about Octavia? Have a friend with a baby called Octavia and I think it is fab.

Like all of your choices though.

kangers · 27/03/2011 20:34

bet it will be shortened to Tavvy.
Like it, but Ottilie is a bit softer- but as someone said earlier- it will shortened to Otts or Otter.

Pippaandpolly · 27/03/2011 20:41

I knew an Octavia who was 'Otty'. (She was built like a house and played lacrosse so well everyone was terrified of her. It's somewhat put me off the name, but it is pretty!)

Louisa sounds the best. Don't like Ottoline at all. How about Eleanor?

kangers · 27/03/2011 20:47

yes everlong loving the shortened TILLY.
OP definitely needs to go for Ottilie now you've said that.

devoncreamtea · 27/03/2011 20:55

Florence is the one I reckon! Gorgeous name, goes well with your other childrens' names and has great nn potential: Flo; Floss; Florrie. good luck!

ValiumSingleton · 27/03/2011 21:11

Flora, Clara and Rosie would sound like sisters to an Edward

Dulcie, Lois and Edith sound like sisters to a Arthur

brightcopperkettles · 28/03/2011 02:56

No worries eurycantha, I knew a beautiful Anita so think of the name as such :).

Tortoiseonthehalfshell · 28/03/2011 03:02

Any chance I can talk you out of Rose? Every single girl born in the last five years has Rose as a middle.

But I love love love Florence and Ottilie from your shortshortlist.

Tortoiseonthehalfshell · 28/03/2011 03:02

Oh, just seen that Rose is your Mum. Sorry. Ignore that then it's just my personal campaign.

IWouldNotCouldNotWithAGoat · 28/03/2011 03:44

Gotta be Elizabeth or Mary - carry on the Henry VIII theme!
