Which do you prefer and why?
Thanks!

Chloe will be my choice if I ever have a girl, I think it's lovely. Never Annabelle as I worked for a horrible woman called that!

Kyrie · 24/03/2011 17:50

I prefer Chloe, I think Annabelle is too twee and cute.

blueberrymoon · 24/03/2011 17:52

Annabelle. I prefer it spelt Annabel though :)

JuicyLips · 24/03/2011 17:56

Annabelle, definitely, tis very cute

pilates · 24/03/2011 17:58

I prefer Chloe

PixieCake · 24/03/2011 18:02

Thanks all, pls keep 'em coming and also tell me WHY.

Or maybe score each one out of 10 (10 being you love it, 1 being you think it's a bit naff)

Annabel is less twirly when it's spelt just Annabel. People have only started spelling it Annabelle fairly recently for some reason.

I like Clio or Cleo but Chloe was the most popular name for a long time.

Zoe is nice too

CharlieBoo · 24/03/2011 18:25

Much prefer Chloe, very pretty and suits adults and children.

Annabel, I just think of the doll

DorisIsAPinkDragon · 24/03/2011 18:28

Annabelle (it's dd3 Grin) loads of nn potential, I know a couple of grown up Annabell's and it suit's them too.

vaginiasmonalogue · 24/03/2011 18:34

Annabelle/Annabel - Chloe, to me, is a bit blah...

belbos · 24/03/2011 20:55

My dd is Annabel. I have seen the Annabelle spelling about loads recently.

I don't really like Chloe. It's a bit 90s to me.

Bettyspencer · 24/03/2011 20:56

Chloe, because "less is more" IMO. A really simple but pretty name that isn't too OTT.

JuicyLips · 24/03/2011 20:57

My DD is Annabelle, DH chose it as her name and I love it and the spelling of it. And yes, so many good nick-names with it too.

DownyEmerald · 24/03/2011 20:59

Chloe - I just think Annabelle is too girly.

Also a bit prejudiced about it as it used to be the goto name when people didn't hear my name properly, and I used to fume. (Now my name is popular doesn't happen so much, but I can still bear a grudge!).

mybootsaremuddy · 24/03/2011 21:03

Annabelle = 8 Annabel = 9
Chloe = 5

twosofar · 25/03/2011 16:48

Annabel - pretty and classy
Annabelle - frilly
Chloe - every second child is called this....which may not bother you but it would annoy me

Greenwing · 25/03/2011 20:49

I haven't met a Chloe for years - none in my children's school of 200 aged 2 to 13.
Annabelle is very frilly and girly. Sounds like a hairdressers salon (where my Mum took me in the 1970s!)

Oops, sorry - how did that happen?

AppleandMango · 26/03/2011 10:16

Hate Chloe sorry, just reminds me of a really spoilt brat I used to know who got everything she wanted.
LOVE Annabelle, so much prettier
