Expecting DC4, already have a Max, a Florence and an Isabella.

Dh and I like Alexander, Edward and Gabriel for boys but are open to suggestions and Adelaide, Anastasia and Antigone for girls but think they all might be a bit frou frou compared to the other children's names.

We also like Finlay, Felix and Dexter but are concerned they'll date quickly.

Love your children's names, they were all on my shortlist for DS and DD.

I like Edward, Felix and Alexander out of your boys choices-they were on my lists too. How about Sebastian, Reuben or Benedict?

I'm not keen on any of your girls names, especially Antigone (pronounciation reasons and also the inauspicious Greek myth), not sure they entirely fit with your other three. Aurelia, Hestia, Olivia, Madeleine, Amelia?

fyrtlemertile · 24/03/2011 17:58

Oooh, I like Benedict! Unfortunately most of the names you've suggested have already been used up by aunts/uncles/BILs/SILs/Cousins for their babies but great minds think alike!

If you don't mind me asking what is your DDs name? We're a bit more stuck for girls!

I really like Adelaide, think it fits well with the others. Imo not too frou frou.

I do think Dexter and Finlay will date, Felix less so - I see it as more of a classic. Gabriel is lovely, my favourite of your boy choices.

Firkytoodle · 24/03/2011 18:03

DD is Olivia, but would have been a Marcus if she had been a boy.
DS is Sebastian but would have been Aurelia, Helena, Judith or Lydia.

ValiumSingleton · 24/03/2011 18:08

lol at describing Antigone as 'frou frou'

fyrtlemertile · 24/03/2011 18:10

Oh Lydia is gorgeous! Definitely on the list! Sebastian has been used on both sides of the family and Olivia is one of the twins middle names. You have great taste Grin

Don't like the girls' names.

Love Edward and Gabriel.

LOVE your other children's names and think that Edward goes best with them.

Hulababy · 24/03/2011 18:20

Of your boys names I really like Edward, and love Ned as a nn. How about William, Charles or Thomas?
I like Anastasia best from your girls list. How about Matilda or Martha?

My own DD is called Mollie Olivia.

DorisIsAPinkDragon · 24/03/2011 18:24

I have a lydia DD2 and dd3 was going to be florence or beatrice (she wasn't as dh had his says Grin)

Bumpity bump? Got Alexander, Edward, Gabriel and Benedict/Benjamin on the blue list and only Lydia on the pink, we think we'd like to use Anastasia, Adelaide or Antigone as a middle name perhaps, or as a first name but use the middle name if it flows better? Still stuck on girls though! I think we want something classic and timeless with a sprinkle of now, the older children's names are all traditional but reasonably popular at the moment and we like that!

Gabriel is the best! Edward and Sebastian are good too.

Persephone is a good match?

bemybebe · 25/03/2011 23:56

Penelope and Helena if you are interested in greek names ?

bemybebe · 25/03/2011 23:57

or Elena?

Firkytoodle · 26/03/2011 14:37

Very excited that some of my suggestions made it onto the list. DH reminded me of a few more that were on our list for DD(and he vetoed Angry).

Sophia
Julia
Evelyn
Aurora
Antonia
Sylvia

Dominic
Jacob
Nathaniel
Tristan

Noraginz · 26/03/2011 14:41

My DDs middle name is Elena, first name Francesca.

I like Benedict, I have a Max too. My favorite we couldn't agree on was 'Stirling'

Firkytoodle · 26/03/2011 14:47
