Hi
Just after some opinions really. I am having my 5th child but 3rd boy. We have a
Bradley
Zach

Does Aiden fit in with these. This is the only name that we have found that both of us like.
Also middle names either
Matthew
Luke
Lewis/louis.
Thanks

I wanted a Lewis but was vetoed and had an Aidan instead. I think it does fit, and either Matthew or Lewis/Louis would make fine middle names. I like Luke but I think 2 syllables sound better.

Congratulations.

I think Aiden (or Aidan) fits nicely and I really like it. Also goes nicely with all the middle name choices.

PepsiPopcorn · 18/03/2011 16:58

Yes I think it fits nicely. Prefer the more classic Aidan spelling.

All the middle names would go nicely. My favourite would be Aidan Luke.

Aidan Matthew

I like Aiden Matthew. As it is you fifth child have you considered Quentin or Quinn - derived from the latin Quintus meaning fifth?

ghansell · 18/03/2011 19:43

Thank you all.
We are going for the "e" rather than the "a" because hubby wants the english spelling rather than the irish.(Don't ask me why as i haven't got a clue).
Might have to put Quentin to my hubby as i quite like it i did see it in the book last night but didn't mention it.
I love Quinn for a nn too.

Thank you again.

Aiden fits perfectly with his brothers. Aiden Matthew is nice.

Onion1968 · 18/03/2011 22:21

Lovely choice Smile think Aiden Lewis just edges in front of my preference but they are all really nice together

breatheslowly · 18/03/2011 22:25

I think that the spelling is Aidan in English too. I think Aiden is just a misspelling.

In England it is associated with St Aidan which is spelt with an "a" see here.

And I love Aidan btw.

Greenwing · 18/03/2011 23:00

Aiden is just a mistake. The name is definitely Aidan. (St Aidan of Lindisfarne)

rirismummy · 19/03/2011 10:25

Fits in very well with the others, definately Aiden Matthew

freerangeeggs · 19/03/2011 11:53

I'm pretty sure Aiden is just wrong. Aidan is a beautiful name though and fits in well with your other boys.

ValiumSingleton · 19/03/2011 14:03

I agree with breatheslowly. I am Irish but I think it's not one of the names (like Maedhbh/Maeve CiarĂ¡n/Kieran) that has an established anglicised spelling. Aiden just looks like you tweaked the name to be dyfurrinte. Which is dangerous territory! Don't go there!
