Better than Jove?

Not by much. Personally I hate it,and I keep thinking of the pig from Charlotte's Web.

Sorry -it's bad but in a different way. And a famous pig character too.

No. It's the male equivalent of Emmaleigh instead of Emily. Just use William with nn Liam or Bill if you want William but want to be a bit different.

Love Wilbur, it's a million times better than Jove!! A wonderful alternative to William (and perfectly traditional, @ValiumSingleton).

It sounds like a cartoon character. And Jove is just cruel unless your DS would actually enjoy being greeted with "By Jove!"

He's asleep at the minute. I think it's better than Jove because it's not short for Jehovah, and I can't think of that without Monty python stuff going on.

Valium, it's actually a very old English name...not made up or anything. And not American, either! Though it was very popular over there between the wars.

Wilbur of Wright Brothers fame.
You might get a few odd looks if you call him Orville though :P

I like it but it does make me think of the pig in 'Charlotte's Web'
