Baby due yesterday and don't know the sex...but having last minute doubts over the name Charles (will be known as Charlie).

We like older more traditional names. Any ideas most appreciated.

Charles/Charlie is nice.
William, Edward, Nicholas, Thomas?

Clio99 · 14/03/2011 21:09

Quite like William, but all a bit too royal for us.

Edward Charles

All to royal and boring. I need something a little more unusual and probably not traditional English. Urghhh I don't know what I want!

erm you said you liked traditional! Confused

to be fair, Charles is fairly royal too

chipmonkey · 14/03/2011 22:52

Charles, is pretty traditional as well as Royal!

I love both your girls names especially Clara. I had on my boys lists before I knew I was having a girl: Hugo, Cassius, Sebastian (I love Seb) Finn, Felix. Do you like any of those?

Underachieving · 14/03/2011 23:44

Clara is gorgeous, but beyond that I am at a loss for what to suggest. You seem a bit confused yourself to be fair. Are you able to re-phrase what you mean at all? I think lots of us would like to help but we're floundering a bit for direction.
