Caspian ...

I have always loved the names Casper and Caspian (after reading the Narnia books) and have considered both as potential boy names along with Edward, Alexander and Quinn. However, many people comment on Casper being the 'friendly ghost' and not too sure what others think of Caspaian (Cass for short). So I thought I would put it in front of the MN jury. Caspain Edward would be the full name (Edward after my grandad). Opinions please... I can take it

I love both Casper and Caspian.They're gorgeous yet strong names.
The Caspian sea and not the CS Lewis novel comes to mind when I hear Caspian.

Love Caspian with the Narnia reference, but wasn't Quinn used in the film about Elizabeth 1 as euphemism for pudenda?

I like Caspian more than Casper.

I like Caspian although I'm less keen on the nickname Cas or Cass.

I also like Edward and Quinn.

I know a Caspian, he's 26yrs old.

I neither love or hate it..... its ok.
I suppose because i know someone with that name, i do think its ok.

I have a Casper and we debated Cassius and Caspian initially too. Only one person in 20 months has ever made a friendly ghost reference. Go for it! Much more fun than having a name which your child could be sharing with numerous other class mates...just in case he is teased otherwise! Btw ours is nn Cass and not in the least bit girly and we hv had countless compliments on our choice x
