Rosamund?

Would like opinions on Rosamund please and also suggestions for middle names to go with a 1 syllable sn beginning with M.

Would maybe consider using it as a mn as don't want her to become 'Roz'. Prefer Rosie as a nn. So, suggestions also welcome for first names with Rosamund as a mn. We like uncommon, 'antique' type names but nothing old lady IYKWIM.

Thanks

Not keen, sorry.

meditrina · 10/03/2011 10:12

I think it's lovely! And I suspect that if you always call her Rosie, it'll stick.

So, how about:

Rosamund Jane
Rosamund Eliza
Rosamund Sarah
Rosamund Louise
Rosamund Violet
Rosamund Harriet

BikeRunSki · 10/03/2011 10:15

Don't like it, too clunky, even though I know a loveley one.

LessNarkyPuffin · 10/03/2011 10:40

Rosamund Amice

BlueChampagne · 10/03/2011 12:53

To be really regal, how about Eleanor Rosamund - or even Rosamund Eleanor?

I think it has a beautiful meaning.

TeacupTempest · 10/03/2011 18:47

I don't really like it. I know a Rosalind and prefer that she gets called Rose most of the time.

atswimtwolengths · 11/03/2011 17:49

What about Roseanne, with Rosie as an abbreviation?

RedFlagHag · 11/03/2011 20:27

Really dislike it.

I just hate the 'mund' sound. There are much nicer Rose names: Rose, Rosa, Rosalie, Rosanna and Rosemary.

Rosamund just isn't as nice as nay of these, imo. Sorry.

MrClaypole · 11/03/2011 20:54

Sorry, also don't like. Prefer Rosalind. Think it's the "Mund" sound I don't like.

Rhubarbgarden · 11/03/2011 23:11

Love it.

JumpJockey · 12/03/2011 15:36

Rosamund was in our shortlist, I love it to bits but dh was less keen

(BlueChampagne we went with Eleanor in the end! Not sure how happy those two would be to have their names next to each other Wink)

ChickensHaveNoEyebrows · 12/03/2011 15:48

I like it. Lots of potential nick names and slightly unusual.
