Baby due next week - sex not known. We cannot choose a boy name.

During the pregnancy we have liked the following at different stages:-

Oscar
Barnaby
Leo
Felix
Xavier

Please inspire me or comment on the above.

Oscar - There are loads of Oscars where I live.
Barnaby - Don't like it.
Leo - Lovely name.
Felix - Lovely name.
Xavier - Lovely but he's going to have to spell it to people.

SilkStalkings · 09/03/2011 14:03

Cats are cool! And the meaning of Felix is a nice gift for your child.

How anbout Alexander with Xander for nn?

Starsandcars · 09/03/2011 18:05

Alexander - with Xander as a nn is most certainly in the running.

We have also considered atticus but don't think I'm brave enough.

Love Barnaby, loads of Oscars, Felixs and Leos at my school - no Barnabys though!

UndiscoveredApprentice · 10/03/2011 07:41

Oscar - lovely, but very now
Barnaby - very nice
Leo - lovely, but again very now
Felix - like it, though has cat-teasing tendencies
Xavier - not so keen

What about Xander, if you like your X sounding names?

Also like Rory, Fergus and Angus.

kreecherlivesupstairs · 10/03/2011 08:58

I am going to say Duncan as usual. I just want someone to call their child Duncan.
Of your list, the one I like most is Xavier, but, I fell on my arse with that name. I was introduced to a young man (14ish) called Xavier, but pronounced the Spanish way. I spent a couple of hours referring to Harriet.
