What do you think of Honor for a girl? And if you like it, Honor or Honour?

Has to be Honor.
Honor Blackman.

Quite like it, except that it sounds like 'On a' - which could encourage people to complete the sentence (could be quite annoying for her).

GetOrfMoiLand · 04/03/2011 23:45

I like it very much, also like Honora.

usualsuspect · 04/03/2011 23:46

I have a friend called Honor, she's 49. A lovely timeless name

randomimposter · 05/03/2011 09:35

like it, but without the U.

Onion1968 · 05/03/2011 09:36

I like it as long as your surname is not Owen...... Wink

CaveMum · 05/03/2011 09:39

Lovely, but have you seen the episode of Scrubs where Turk and Carla discuss names for their baby girl? It goes something like:
"But when she gets to High School the boy's will be like 'Hey, I got on her, did you get on her? Yeah we all got on her, coz she's easy!'"

Underachieving · 06/03/2011 14:17

Lovely name. I've got no spelling preference.

Scrubs is American, not everything transates between cultures. I don't think anyone here really uses "Got on her" as an innuendo.

RedFlagHag · 06/03/2011 14:19

I think it's dreadful (sorry).

I know it's a name in its own right, but I just think of weird American spellings when I see it written down.

It's just...not very nice, sorry.

meditrina · 06/03/2011 14:20

I like Honor, and like Honoria even more.

deliakate · 06/03/2011 16:12

I like it. Sounds bad with our surname, otherwise I'd go for it.

spottyock · 06/03/2011 19:19

daimbardiva · 08/03/2011 11:02
