Struggling with a middle name for my child to be. He's a boy. I have a little girl and her middle name is Faith. Can you think of anything along a similar vein for a boy! I am well and truely stuck.x

The only boys virtue names I can think of are Clement and Modest.

Or Endeavour (if you're a Morse fan).

Benedict?
Or are you thinking 'short and decent' rather than holy?

Lancelottie · 03/03/2011 10:03

Plenty of apostles and biblical chappies, I suppose: James, Peter, Gideon, Saul/Paul...

tryingtoleave · 03/03/2011 10:06

Ernest?

tryingtoleave · 03/03/2011 10:06

Christian?

Bert2e · 03/03/2011 10:07

Capability if you want virtues rather than biblical?

TimeWasting · 03/03/2011 10:08

Ooh, I was going to suggest Endeavour. Grin

MackerelOfFact · 03/03/2011 10:08

Apparently Truman means 'faithful'. Shame it's horrible. Grin

Fidel came up a few times too and that's no better!

MackerelOfFact · 03/03/2011 10:11

Victor?

lots33 · 03/03/2011 10:12

My DS's middle name is Valiant!

Bert2e · 03/03/2011 10:19

Oooh I like Valiant!

clarkland · 03/03/2011 10:28

I like valiant too. I think I am thinking virtues rather than biblical. Thank you for all your suggestions.x

Amity, Ever (this is getting quite popular, it just means Everlasting or something like that),
Valor/Valour, Zeal, Dare, Fate (bit similar to Faith), Blyth or Blythe (ie. bonny, blythe and gay),
Clement (means merciful, mild), Earnest, Honor (actually a unisex name but mainly used for girls these days), Placid

Hedwig3 · 03/03/2011 10:53

Hmm tricky, these are the names that come to mind but may be a bit random...

Earnest/Ernest
Star
Beau
Hardy
Blue

ChrissyHynde · 03/03/2011 10:53

I know a Braith

mamawhoboreme · 03/03/2011 10:55

Braith, Beau and Hardy are fab names imo.

Bathsheba · 03/03/2011 11:24
