We are trying to think of a middle name if we end up givng dd a long elaborate first name.

Ideally I want something simple ad classic and short.

Anne would fit the bill but doesn't go with the first name possibility.

Rose is lovely, but it seems to be everyone's middle name choice.

Jane would be ok, but it is not quite right...

Any other ideas welcome!

My DD aged 4 loves the Alfie books to bits and I love reading them.
When I look at the illustrations in the Shirley Hughes it makes me think of more traditional, simpler times. They are truly lovely.
Dogger is my all time favourite SH book, especially as DD is a Bella and you see it rarely in childrens' books!
How lovely Tabitha, Tess is a beautiful name for a cat.
