Hello, we would like to get your opinion on the names Jamie or Javier. Mum is Spanish and Dad is English. We both like Javier but Mum is worried that being a foreign name may cause difficulties for the baby in the future.
Many thanks!

Javier is a cool name. And I don't like Jamie.

Jamie!

Jamie, or he will be plagued by everyone asking "How do you pronounce that?". Or if he tells people his name is Javier it will be "how do you spell that?".
How about Jamie as his first name and Javier as his middle name? (or are the both the same name in English / Spanish?).
Also, people will just think you have a thing for the Bardem bloke. Grin

Javier, or Jamie only if it's a nickname for James.

Jamie is pronounce (jay-mee). did you mean Jaime (high-meh)?

IslaValargeone · 24/02/2011 10:26

I may be slightly biased in my opinion, given that I definitely would do 'the Bardem bloke' given half a chance.
