Hello, We are really thinking of going for Ethan for our new DS to be born in a few weeks. Is it really that popular as where we are in Northumberland I have never heard of another one and do you guys like this name.
Also does anyone have any suggestions for a middle name to go with it.

I like it, but it's not unusual where I am. But less popular than max, ben, jack... if YOU don't know one in your circle of acquaintance then YOU get in their first!

Ethan + something classic with 1 or 3 syllables but not bible

Ethan James
Ethan Alexander
Ehtan Max
Ethan Gus
Ethan Anthony
Ethan Nicholas

It's very popular here (E Anglia), I know 4 under 1. I prefer Evan but that's just personal taste, there's nothing wrong with the name Ethan.

I love the name Ethan and we have an Ethan Alexander. He is the only Ethan in my circle of friends, although there is another one at his school. Gorgeous name in my opinion!

I have an Ethan Andrew! He was born in Nov 09 and it has become more popular since then thanks to Dannii Minogue, but still not overly popular here (scotland).

Nathan is similar alternative - it means "gift from God"? Only reason we didn't choose Nathan is because it seemed very American to me. Hmm

I do like Ethan, it was on my list for ds but he suited another name better when he appeared. Not common here (scotland) at all, think its a great name. And i think nearly all middle names would go ok with it too.

Ethan very popular in Midlands - lots around the 8/9 mark and lots of recent births- although round here its "Eeeffun" yelled across shop.
