Well, lets hope it is a girl is all i can say!
I only really love one name, and dh is saying no at the moment. He needs to see that it is in fact the best name, but until then we have this situation!

We both quite like Forrest. No one will remember Forrest Gump so not to worried about that, but still not sure . . . .
Other names that I like are Cedric and Desmond. I know dh won't go for Cedric.
He will go for Clarence, but I think it is too similar to my name.
He has come up with nothing at the moment, just hates all my names. He does like a few really obscure Hebrew names, but I have said no.

My favourite is Shem, would fit beautifully with ds's names. He wont have any of it.
So we are stuck with Forrest or possibly Desmond, Donald or Malcolm. He will not discuss it further for ages which is infuriating me! He thinks we are having a girl anyway.

Shem is OK. Forrest, Desmond, Donald and Malcolm really aren't IMHO.

Seth?

Seriously, you'd consider any of those names?
At a push Shem is the best, but really I am astonished.

Prinpo · 21/02/2011 08:42

People will remember Forrest Gump.

Cedric, Desmond, Clarence, Donald or Malcolm - I'm with your DH on these names.

Do I remember that you have an Eli (from previous thread)? If so, Shem would work. Hetty's suggestion of Seth is great. Alternatively, Saul?

lockets no not dues soon. I should have been due in 4 weeks, but had a miscarriage, but i am now pregnant again - thank god, as I was dreading getting to due date, but this makes it a bit easier.
I am not too keen on Seth really, and I also have a son called Amos, so it would all be a bit Emmerdale Farm!

Sorry to hear about your miscarriage tummytickler.

Solomon (Sol)
Noah

Shem is lovely, an underused Biblical name. Also like Donald.

Not keen on Cedric/Desmond/Malcolm.

tummytickler · 21/02/2011 10:31

Olive I know - Shem is absolutely perfect in every way. I love it soooooo much. I want dh to agree so much, but just chatted to him and he is mad on Forrest. Shem is the only name i really love as much as Eli and Amos.

Hetty Not keen on Solomon as I do not like Sol. Really dislike Noah.
