My husband is keen on Logan but I'm not 100% and want some other ideas. Our surname starts with C and we want to avoid a vowel for the middle name otherwise you end up with initials like RIC, ROC etc.

Thanks for your help!

How many syllables in your surname?

autumnmeg · 18/02/2011 16:48

Thanks for your suggestions I really like George. Our surname is one syllable, sounds a bit like Cruise.

This thread immediately reminded me of Logan and Rory from Gilmore Girls, Rory is lovely for a boy, Logan is a bit too American soundingSmile
Possible middle names for Rory:

Rory Alexander
Rory Alistair
Rory Nathaneal
Rory Oliver
Rory Sebastian

I think the one and three or four syllable names sound better with your first and last names ie

Jonathan
Willaim
Benjamin
George
James
Alexander

Don't you have any family names that you would like to use? Boys names don't seem to date as much as girls

KristinaM · 18/02/2011 20:47

Rory sebastian sounds strange to me as I think of Rory as a Scottish name ( Ruiridh pronounced roor I ) and Sebastian is lovely but very English. Am I correct in thinking that you pronounce Rory as roar I ?

MollysChambers · 18/02/2011 20:49

Logan isn't American it's Scottish.

varyingdegreesofdeafness · 18/02/2011 20:50

that my ds's name! And he is Rory Joseph Smile

Ladybiskybat · 18/02/2011 21:00

What a lovely name choice not biased at all :) we went for James.

varyingdegreesofdeafness · 18/02/2011 21:20

And a lovely name choice too! We picked joseph as it was the church where we got married Smile

MelinaM · 18/02/2011 21:21

I didn't say it was AmericanHmm I said it 'sounded very American' as it's a very prevalent boys name in the states.

MollysChambers · 18/02/2011 21:47

Still Scottish though Hmm
