Few days to go this is our final- hopefully - shortlist. Middle names will be Vittoria and Vera after my sister and dh's mother.

I love Olympia and Carlotta

Hedwig3 · 17/02/2011 13:05

I really like Audrey and Ottilie.

Happymummy2011 · 17/02/2011 19:05

Audrey was my wonderful mother. Such a classy and sophisticated name.

Bumperlicious · 17/02/2011 19:16

Love Carlotta

MrsSchadenfreude · 17/02/2011 20:17

How about Ottilia as a compromise?

mathanxiety · 17/02/2011 20:43

I like Vera and Audrey a lot.

Olimpia I prefer with the Y spelling, but with the Olympics just around the corner I think I would use another name.

I know two little Audreys aged 2 and 7, and another in DS's class, so aged 17. One of my sisters had a friend Audrey in school, so I don't see it as old ladyish, just quite sophisticated, a name a child could carry right through life.

I suggest Natalia as a name that wouldn't cause pronunciation problems in either Italy or the UK, close to Ottilie, but without the funny 'Ott' sound -- and yes, the link to ears.

AnnOnimous · 17/02/2011 20:50

Oooh Etienne, as mentioned by someone else, is gorgeous.

teobaldo · 17/02/2011 21:51

My son came back from nursery today saying he would like to call the baby Anna ! I quite like it actually is a beautiful name (or not) and easy to pronounce in all languages becoming more popular for little girls now in Italy (there are quite a few at nursery here ) but do not know any young one in London...

Opinions if I add Anna to the list ?

Oh yes I love natalie but i have a friend who just called her daughter natalie. Etienne it sounds like a boy's name to me, even if it must be both as someone else suggested it as well

love charlotte
think olympia may leap in popularity in 2012 especially in july, august , and september

mathanxiety · 17/02/2011 23:53

Anna is really beautiful.

Etienne is a boy's name surely?

cece · 17/02/2011 23:59

Ottilie and Anna were two names on my short list for DC3, so yes to them.

Audrey is very sophisticated too.

teobaldo · 19/02/2011 07:56

Thanks! i have a better idea now, probably will wait and see what she looks like to take a final decision. DH does not like Anna...

Anna is my favourite by a mile: simple, classic, lovely.

Etienne is a very common boy's name in the French West Indies, if that makes any difference to you!

OliveMalay · 19/02/2011 09:45

I like Audrey and Charlotte/Carlotta.

Greenwing · 19/02/2011 10:37

Anna is the best by a mile IMO.

teobaldo · 19/02/2011 14:50

Yes I always thought that Etienne was a boy's name, but for some reasons it has been mentioned on here twice by two different people. I am not so keen on it even if it was also a girl's name. I would not give a French name given that we are an english/italian family...
