DP and I were pretty much stuck on Ted (Edward) but a friend suggested Dylan which has thrown a spanner in the works. I used to be confused and now I'm just not sure!

Dylan by far.

Edward, stick with Edward!

Why such opposing views??

Definitely Edward, much much nicer!

theagedparent · 15/02/2011 12:40

Ted

BikeRunSki · 15/02/2011 12:57

Edward nn Ted. Less faddy, although both are respectable names.

mistressploppy · 15/02/2011 12:58

Edward. More elegant

IslaValargeone · 15/02/2011 13:09

Edward is elegant, but Teddy has character, don't even go there with Dylan.

Raahh · 15/02/2011 13:10

Edward is just a much nicer name, not overly popular (Dylan is, however, which doesn't usually put me off a name but does in this case). It also has scope for short forms (love Ted), which Dylan doesn't.

There is a troublesomelovely lad in Ds's class called DylanGrin

Although there was a gorgeous Dylan at the welsh university i went to....

Maybe i could be swayed....Grin

JemimaMop · 15/02/2011 13:12

The only trouble with Dylan is the fact that it is mispronounced a lot. Not helped by rabbits and folk singers.

calaloo · 15/02/2011 13:12

Both are nice names. The world may grow tired of Dylan though whereas it'll never tire of Edward. Edward is stiffer but you've got Teddy as a back up. Dylan is cool though.

Both good.

jellybeans · 15/02/2011 13:15

Dylan is nicer I think.
