I've posted on here before for opinions and found it really helpful HOWEVER still no decision for our new born gorgeous girl...we just can't agree on anything.
Opinions please on these...

Lara Grace, ( does it sound like we were celebrity inspired though!)

Anya Grace ( would they get called Ann )

Kezia

Eliza Hope

Eloise ?second name ( would it be shortened to Louise?)

DC's love Iris or Violet...but are these becoming popular this year.

Tilly Grace..( husband loves but is it a bit "cute"

any other ideas from the ones I've suggested would be great.
I don't want top 30 preferably , would like something a bit different but not too much so DH wouldn't go for it.

Thanks for your help

No flames from me, candleshoe, I quite agree.

candleshoe · 14/02/2011 23:19

Loving your name and your style Cointreau Grin

isthismadness · 14/02/2011 23:34

Yes but these names are so common that they will eventually be surgeons etc do for that generation will seem quite normal, grow with child and feel grown up

How about Louisa?

fit2drop · 14/02/2011 23:49

Florence
Flora

are both nice names but I dont know if they are in the top 30

My latest grandaughter is called
Esmae , which is nice (well I like it Grin

no idea about second names though

kittya · 14/02/2011 23:54

I think its abit old hat to say can you imagine them being a doctor, prime minister with this name. Names know no boundaries these days.

Out of your choices, it would be Violet for me, I love it.

What about Tabitha Grace?

kittya · 14/02/2011 23:56

Ps, I know a vet called Tilly and a headmistress called Kitty.

OADCB · 15/02/2011 04:04

Kezia is lovely and definitely not made up!

christabell · 15/02/2011 08:44

Eliza Hope is beautiful - my daughter's middle name is Hope and her first name ends in 'a' and we had lots of compliments on it. Grace is pretty but a bit ubiquitous. I think this is the nicest of your choices but also like Lara, Anya and Iris.

KnackeredOne · 15/02/2011 08:47

We took 2 days for our DD, only because we were convinced she was a boy!

How about Iris or Ivy?

I always liked Coco.

Flower names are beautiful

KnackeredOne · 15/02/2011 08:49

..sorry forgot to add that even after we named her, we kept forgetting her name for 2 days after that - very funny. Blush

No harm done, she's not damaged in any way Wink

ensure · 15/02/2011 08:51

They are all nice so if Lara is your favourite go with that one!

lambbone · 15/02/2011 10:43

I'd happily have more daughters for the pleasure of calling them Meredith or Romilly.

Bit long in the tooth for that sort of thing though so you're welcome to them Wink

greenzebra · 15/02/2011 12:10

My manager at work is a Kitty and thats not a nn, and shes a real high flyer at only 28!
I really dont think names have much to do with it, its all about confidence.

So mamacorner have you named her yet?

jellybeans · 15/02/2011 13:19

Lara Grace..love this, beautiful name

Anya Grace...don't like this

Kezia...OK

Eliza Hope...bit old fashioned, I know one who gets Izzy.

Eloise..I love this, you may get Elly.

Dislike Iris or Violet...

Tilly Grace...dislike, abit cute and trendy.

My favourite by a mile is Lara Grace. Pretty and not too common. Just lovely.

mamma2boyz · 15/02/2011 13:46

I like Lara...
How about Lara Violet??
I also like Anya and think it would stay as Anya, know a very cute one who really suits her name.

Love Matilda nn Tilly
Like Eliza and Eloise

Could try
Tara
Clara

Good luck choosing and congrats xxx

theresapotatoundermysink · 15/02/2011 14:17

Love Eliza....but then I'm a bit biased Wink.

RueLaChesty · 15/02/2011 14:59

i love Lara but not overly keen on Lara Grace (i also like grace but just not the two together for some reason) but lara is really pretty and will suit a female of all ages!

MyMamaToldMe · 15/02/2011 15:11

I like Matilda Grace best....

MerryMarigold · 15/02/2011 15:14

Lara stands out to me out of those. Eloise is ok, but a bit of a mouthful so you would have to establish a nn you were happy with in advance!

MerryMarigold · 15/02/2011 15:15

Not keen on Eliza (too old fashioned-trendy) or Kezia (too odd) or Anya (too model-y). (But what does my opinion matter?!)

mamacorner · 15/02/2011 15:22

Thanks everyone, we've decided to go with Lara Grace, and i must say thanks because your contributions helped with the decision..it seems a pretty popular choice of the names we'd considered.

Now just got to teach my DM that " no, it's NOT Laura, it's Lara!!!" Don't you just love Mums.Grin

Prime Minister Lara Grace - sounds perfect Wink Best of luck for the future

CristinaTheAstonishing · 15/02/2011 16:52

Lara. Good choice :) Like the character in dr Zhivago.

KnackeredOne · 15/02/2011 20:18

Yay - Lara Grace.

Congrats!

tomhardyismydh · 15/02/2011 20:24
